Frequently asked questions:
Are you willing to travel?
Yes, we’re happy to travel! For venues a significant distance from Lynchburg, VA, overnight accommodations, travel, or similar fee may apply. Contact us with the venue location for an exact quote.
When will you arrive and how long will you stay?
We base our arrival time on the details of your specific wedding day timeline, but often this means we arrive an hour or two prior to the photographer to assure we have ample time for aerial footage, establishing shots, and to assure we’re not missing any important preparatory events. We’ll stay right up until bride and groom depart the reception unless this takes place later than 10:30 PM. Our coverage may be limited if events take place earlier than 9:00 AM or later than 10:30 PM, unless prior arrangements are made.
What will be captured? What events will be included in our film?
We’ll spend our time capturing decorations, preparations, ceremony, and reception highlights as well as any additional wedding day normalities that may take place, such as a first look.
Will you capture aerial (drone) footage?
Yes, we will capture aerial footage as long as both the weather and location permit. We are FAA Part 107 certified.
Will I notice you? How will you work with our photographer?
We try to be as un-intrusive and as “behind the scenes” as possible, capturing both candid as well as staged moments and events. We follow the photographer’s lead but also dictate particular shots and sequences of our own.
Do your packages include a second shooter?
A second videographer will be included at no additional charge to the client.
Do we have to feed you?
Yes, we do enjoy food; and come reception time, we are often hungry!
What soundtrack(s) will be featured in my wedding film?
Following your wedding day, we will contact you with soundtrack selections that we believe will fit the feel and mood of your wedding. You may then choose your favorites from the selections provided. For a soundtrack to be legally used in your film, it must be licensed. We select soundtracks from SoundStripe which we will then license for your film.
When will I receive my wedding film?
We’ll typically have the finished product to you within 90 days of your wedding date (often sooner).
Do you offer raw footage?
The duration of a majority of the clips in our videos don’t exceed 10 seconds; therefore, raw/unedited footage typically is not very smooth/enjoyable to watch. We don’t want to disappoint our clients with any product that isn’t fully polished. This being said, for couples that decide that raw footage is important to them, per request, we do offer raw footage as an inclusion to our packages. The raw footage provided will typically range from 300-500GB of data or more and will be provided on a complementary USB flash drive.
How do I reserve my date? What other booking/payment details should I know?
We require a 10% retainer to reserve the date. The remaining amount is due 7 days prior to the wedding date. The contract signing, retainer, and final payment are all processed online through Dubsado, our CRM platform.
What happens after booking?
As your wedding date approaches, we will be in contact with you to confirm details such as arrival times, start times, etc. In the meantime, if there’s any way in which we can be of assistance, just let us know!
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
